Kathleen R. Casparino, M. Ed.


Professional

Kathleen is a former special education teacher and administrator in both Connecticut and California.  She has devoted the last 12 years to advocating on behalf of families with children with disabilities. Kathleen has presented to groups and organizations such as CREC, LDA, CACLD, NAMI, and various parent organizations regarding a variety of education topics.  Additionally, she has designed and coordinated numerous state-wide advocacy seminars.  


Education

Kathleen graduated with honors from Boston College with a dual major in Special/ Elementary Education and received a Master’s degree from San Francisco State University in Educational Administration.




Mary Hambor, M. Ed.


Professional

Mary is a former special education teacher of 22 years in both Ohio and in Connecticut, and has specialized in transition planning for high school students with special needs. She designed and implemented transition courses that included job shadowing and other college and career oriented community-based activities.  For the past seven years, she has worked as a career coordinator and specializes in preparing students for post-secondary education and employment.  She plays an integral role in transition planning for students with special needs.


Education

Mary holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Miami University and a Master's degree in Education from The University of Cincinnati.  She currently holds Connecticut professional certifications in Comprehensive Special Education and Cooperative Work Experience-Diversified Occupations.
